38 E- brake hook up

[Revelation]

I am trying to help a friend hook up the emergency brake cable to the shoes on his '38 Chevy sedan. I know it's a sedan but I'm taking a guess that the rear end in a '38 car is the same or close to the same on a '38 1/2 ton truck. If i'm wrong please let me know.

he believes the cable hooks to the backing plate. He is having trouble finding a picture of how the cable connects to the shoes to help guide him in the hook up.
does anybody have a picture of the set up or a link to find the picture?
