Front suspension swap will this work

I am look to upgrade my front suspension on the 67 c20. I know you can swap in the 73-87 a arms to get the better bushings onto the 67 cross member, my main question is there is a swap to change from 8 lug to six lug using 1988 - 95 spindles with lower c20 a arm and c10 upper on a 1967-72, can this be done using the 73-87 a arms on a 67 cross member to get the better ride and get the 6 lug wheel setup. If it will all work do you need a c10 upper and c20 lower a arm form the 73-87 trucks?

The 88-98 spindle swap has proven to have excessive camber that can't be fixed with a front end alignment.
Search the CaptainFab threads.

Personally I would use the standard 5-lug swap with aftermarket 6-lug rotors.
But just remember most of your 6-lug wheel choices are for the 99-up Silverado trucks,... (unless your order custom offset billet wheels).
They use a wheel with a smaller center bore and much more wheel backspacing.

There is a TON of info on this subject.
If you have trouble searching this site,... search Google.
It will bring you back here anyway.

Re: Front suspension swap will this work

Two easy choices

1. 71 or 72 1/2 ton complete crossmember, direct bolt in

2. 73-87 1/2 ton complete crossmember, drill a couple of holes.

Aftermarket 6 lug rotors as mentioned above if you want to keep 6 lug wheels

Don't get overly wrapped up in trying to mix and match parts front three generations of trucks. You won regret it.

I've been down the 88-98 spindle road and I recommend staying away! Find another way.
