Buddy bucket seats alternative?
Anyone installed or seen this style seat (in the link) in a 67-72? I think it would look very similar to original buddys if you remove the headrest and had covers made to match the factory pattern? I love the buddy buckets and after siting in my uncles 71 with them they give me more room than my bench. (I'm 6'6) I was wondering if I relocate the gas tank and notch out were the back meets the cab would it give me maybe an extra inch of leg room? I think It would also be cool if they did work to find some heated and cooling ones and get those to work, but thats a dream for another day... Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Buddy bucket seats alternative?
Seems like a lot of money ? You could buy 2 bench seats and cut them down still use the original seat brackets ,Have it look original and the extra springs you cut out of the center you can use to repair anything wrong with the seats you would have , The extra springs could be sold to offset the cost of building them and you would have something no one else has ,Also you could recover them to match the colors you already have in your truck . And cause a stir at the local shows with your "original Chevy bucket seats "

There are some on here that have that Gen. of seats in them. There's a red one in one of the seat threads.
