How many floor to frame bolts, long fleet?
How many bolts are supposed to hold my bed on? Six in front of the tubs, six in back?

I believe there are 10 bolts on the long beds and 8 on the short beds.

8 bed to frame on short fleet and 10 on long fleet

Two rear cross member mounts
Two in cross member front of rear Three cross members in front, between the cab and wheels. I can get a picture when I get home. I have a long bed frame i believe.

 Not a great pic. The two bolts closest to the gate go through those V mounts that are on the rear bed support. The next two rows go through the two crossmembers. Ignore the two extra bolts without washers, someone else got drill happy on one side, so I drilled a matching "wrong" hole on the other side to drop a matching bolt into. Hard to see up at the front, but the holes are in the correct spots up there. Two narrow, one wide each side. |

And just for FYI...the short stepsides have 6 bolts. This is from 2012 when I replaced the floor

So, looking through this... Do the bed bolts always go through the wood to the frame? or has anyone done them hidden underneath the boards for a cleaner look?

Same here, though I welded the bolts to the crossmembers, effectively making them studs. No need to pull the boards up to install/remove the bed that way.
