Interior panel trim kits: how many if you are interested?

So as I posted before I made some interior kits for my truck and for my local truck group. A lot of locals like them and have bought several. I have a set in my truck and my blazer even.
I would like to offer them on the forum but here's the catch, I can't produce large amounts of these or handle large weekly orders. These are hand made and I make them when I have spare time to do so. Since these are not "used" parts in order to sell them here I may or may not have to become a gold vendor, that of which is pretty expensive for me esp since I can't make a large amount all the time.

So following oldrustyc10's advice I'm asking my fellow members here how many will be interested
Right now with my current membership if I was cleared to sell I can offer these kits for $25+shipping
If however I am required to upgrade to vendor status I will have to raise the price to pay for that and the materials. About $50+shp estimated depending on popularity.

It's up to the forum staff what I can do, if I have to be gold to sell them and everyone will still buy them then great. If I can stay premium then all the better.

Just to be clear THIS IS NOT A FOR SALE POST. Just testing the waters

What I can offer is a/c and non a/c trim kits for 81-87(91?)trucks. I'm going to do suburbans and crew cabs as well but currently don't have any stencils made for the rears. These are cut out of felt backed vinyl and ate glued to the surface by 3M77 or 3M99 spray adhesive. The paisley pattern I can get in silver/copper/black. I'm only limited by what I can cut out so any vinyl pattern/color I can do although this will be later on as well

I don't have a round eye truck anymore so currently I have nothing I can offer yet for 73-80

And as always some pictures

ya know guy not everyone likes a roast beef sandwich... which is why they offer twenty different kinds of cold cuts at the deli and almost as many cheeses to go with it.. not to mention a variety of condiments .... While this may not be to your taste others like it.. heres the deal keep the insulting comments to yourself, as im sure there will be people on here that may not like the direction or parts you stick on your truck, and you will be upset if they deride it nastily.. offer the same courtesy to the others here, and I will enforce the rule equally

Like I said I'm only limited by what I can cut. If you saw a vinyl that caught your eye, I could cut it. My Freind runs his own upholstry shop so I can find a lot of interesting things. If people like it I will make a batch.

I like the idea! I was looking at vinyl patterns and there is quite a variety. Cool carbon fiber, snake skin, ostrich, and alligator hide patterns! Would this work for a headliner?

i like the idea tooalthough the patterns you chose are slightly floral i like the look almost like a gun metal engraving from back a few ft. i dont think wahl4m was too far off the mark.(unless something was said that was offensive/edited)lots of guys going for a more stock look. its a good low cost idea. i guess id like my roastbeef sandwich with some woodgrain on it.idaho stepside had some good suggestions but it costs money to execute any of them if your buddy runs a shop i suppose you could order many different/interior matching patterns. i think its a good idea -jeff

So are those just vinyl overlay stickers? Are they textured?

Yes textured and everything. Not stickers. Felt backed vinyl

I don't see why not. My Freind did a thin foam backing and some vinyl for the headliner in his truck.

Yah I had a set of original metal trim to use but I didn't like how it looked like a gross kitchen sink myself and to bland. I love the western engraved look but this was as close as I could get. I just don't like stock myself

My buddy can get me a yard of anything he has a sample kit of. Really I just like being able offer interior accents that are unique and exclusive and tailor to the tastes of the owner.

Re: Interior panel trim kits: how many if you are interested?

To each his own taste. The patterns you have there are interesting and one thing came to mind. If you could get the pattern you have in the first pic of the door panel in gold, it might look good on a Gentleman Jim. One question I have is that on the 73-80 high end door panels, where there are woodgrain inserts, would this vinyl work into the contours of the area within the "trim rings"?

If only it came in gold cause that would be in my truck!

As for the 73-80 I would have to look and see. My friend has a 79 cheyanne with a stainless insert and a trim ring outside of that. That inside trim could be replaced. As for other years up here it's very very rare that a high trim level square is in a yard or even at a show.

You say that this pattern comes in silver, copper, and black. I see two examples... are they silver and black? what does copper look like? Pic?

Re: Interior panel trim kits: how many if you are interested?

I think this is a cool idea, whatever design people choose, my question would be: how to install?

glued in or self adhesive? I would dig a carbon fiber look.

+1 on pics of the copper whuchyamajiggy design you already posted. different, maybe not my cup of tea, but the copper might accent the outside and painted dash if i go that route.

I will go up to my freinds shop and pull out his sample book and get a picture of the copper colored one for you and any others I find interesting

As for how I'm cutting them out that's a trade secret

I would like carbon fiber too, but would it look like a sticker? some cars i have seen with carbon fiber stickers looked cheesy. maybe it would look good since those are the stock trim locations

I like roast beef sadwitches

Here in TX, I'd be concerned about how well they hold up to heat and UV. Going off of how well the factory vinyl fared against those factors. Not so good lol

But perhaps there is a UV barrier that can be applied somehow

The vinyl on these is much thicker than the dash vinyl. The glue I used 3m99 has been holding my headliner in for years now no issue. Then again factory vinyl back then never had products applied like meguiars are such.

Same here!

I would definitely be interested in some myself! Maybe even offer it so that if ya wanted to put thus over the factory stainless trim (its scratched and dented) it would have the C.I.D. cut out to show through on the AC strip?
Carbon fiber for sure!
