Where's the dark

Drove the 68 to work this morning kinda early and turned the headlights on. When I got to work and turned them off, the park lights stayed on. I moved the switch off/on a few times and the park lights would not go off. I finally unhooked the battery cable. I'm guessing the light switch. Ever happen to anyone else and what was the problem.

happened to me on my ford. It is the switch, it may be that it just started to come apart.
