First truck ever.

Hello everybody. Thank you for all the great information. I have been searching this site for solutions to potential problems I might have with my project. I found a '68 GMC sitting in the grass a few blocks from my house. Rockers are silly puddy, bud the rest is in good shape. I have a '73 454 that's going in it and a muncie 4 speed (if it's not too much trouble). 6 lugs, drums, some "other" rear end, power brakes and steering. This will be my first truck ever. I am use to Camaros and of course big block chevys. Should be a fun project. The blue bed in the picture is the one I got with it. The black one didn't have wheel wells.

Yes, I noticed. Here's a closer look. Not too bad for a project. Floors and around the windows are solid. Good start anyway.

Re: First truck ever.

Welcome to the board.
These trucks are a whole lot of fun to build, the difficulty level is low and there isn't a million parts to contend with, good times.
