Header fitment?

Hello;
I have a set of Hedman Headers and was wondering if I will have any issues in fitting these on my 1972, chevrolet c10, 307 v8, 4 speed manual. Also planning on a 2" drop in the front using drop spindles.

Thanks, Marcel.

Re: Header fitment?

Headman makes shorty headers just for these trucks...

Re: Header fitment?

Do you have the set from Hedman made for our trucks? Long tube or shorties? I have the Hedman full length headers on my truck with 2.5" drop spindles. The main problem we had installing them was that they hit the factory clutch z-bar socket. I replaced it with another one from Chevrolet ($25) and we got them to fit. We also had to lift the driver side of the engine a couple of inches to get them in place so be ready for that.

Did you replace the z-bar socket with a different one than what you had on.
Thanks for the reply DreamRyder

Re: Header fitment?

Yes I did. It was a ball that moved the bar an inch or so back. I just just went to my local dealer and ask for a z-bar ball that bolts into the block.
