55 TF rear

I am new to this site. I want to change to a 5 lug pattern on the rear of my 55 2nd series. Is there a rear that is a bolt in. NO welding.

I'm don't know the 55 2nd series that well. Can you give the current wheel mounting surface from side to side (60" - 62", etc) and also the center to center distance on the springs width (43" -45", etc) this info might get a better reply, good luck...Jim

a camaro works very well although you will need to cut and re-weld in the spring perches. There is no real direct BOLT in that I know of.

Do you know if there is a manufacturer that makes replacement axles? Doing most if not all in my driveway. Just until the house sells then i am going to have to find a place.

Hub to hub may be too much for you but 73-80 something 1/2 ton truck bolt up to the 59 springs. They came in 5 and 6 lug configuration. I run 225-7516 tires on mine to keep the tires under the fleetside fender using stock 16" steel wheels. The 5 lug were 15" wheels.

When you say 5-lug, I assume you mean the 5 X 4 3/4" bolt pattern of Chevy cars in which case the Camero is the most commonly used as mentioned

However later 2WD Chevy trucks use a 5 x 5 bolt pattern:

so you may not want a later truck rear (which is wider as well) if you are either subframing or IFS the front with the 5 X 4 3/4 pattern.

I use a staggered tire size Front/Rear so technically Ft/Rear bolt circle differences don't matter but I personally just want all 4 corners to match so my spare fits all.
