Steering column question
Ok I got the Captn's steering box plate and box back on the truck. I thought I was going to luck out and not have to cut the shaft because it looks like it has been shortened already to get the power steering on by the PO. Nope it's about an inch too long. Anyway, is there a way to move the whole column so the wheel is closer to the dash after I shorten the shaft? Us bigger boned guys who drank too much beer need a little more space from the wheel. I didn't want to mess with it till I get it off the jack stands (hopefully tomorrow). Maybe just losen some bolts and push it in a little?

Re: Steering column question
There are 2, 7/16 bolts under the column that are slotted that May get you some room. That's how it was on my 63
