Pulled a wire out of instrument panel socket... how the heck do they stay in?

alright I was replacing the bulbs in my instrument cluster, and as i was pulling out a socket, the wire pulled out, and the wiring is original and a bit stiff. but looking at the socket, how do they stay "in" there's no snap or anything for the wire to hold against the bulb to keep it lit and not have it fall right back out haha. I hate electrical stuff. this is on a 1955 chevy truck

will the 1955-56 chevy passenger car bulb sockets work on the 1955 2nd series trucks as well?
