Fuel gauge--pink wire

I'm replacing all the gauges in my 64 C10 with after market gauges. The wiring for the original fuel gauge consists of a tan and pink wire. I know the tan wire goes to the fuse box and eventually to the fuel sending unit. The new fuel gauge (Equus) requires three wires; 12 volt power, ground and sending unit. I know the tan wire goes to the sending unit terminal, but is the pink wire from the factory plug a 12 volt power or a ground? The truck is in a full restoration so I don't have any underhood wiring to hook up the battery to test if the pink wire is power......tx

Re: Fuel gauge--pink wire

A simpler answer - Yes the Pink wire supplies 12V power to the gauge with the key "on".

I'd recommend getting your hands on a wiring diagram for when you start final assembly.
