tailgate pivot bushing?

A newbie here...

I recently bought a 1987 Chevy farm truck, whereas all I've used before has been Ford's. Hence my ignorance on this.

Both Ford and Chevy dismount the tailgate in a similar manner(hold the t-gate at an angle, and it slips out on the one side). Ford used a plastic pivot bushing on the disconnect side; does Chevy do the same thing? Looking through the LMC-truck catalog, I can find no mention of this bushing, but I still have to wonder.

Can anyone clue me in here?

Thanks. It just felt like there was more wiggle room than it should be-- that's why I wondered.
