Could it be a posi.?

I bought a 72 Cheyenne long bed factory big block recently.I have been doing some work to it.I would like to post some pictures of it when I feel it is ready. My question is could it have a posi rearend under it?I was changing the tire on the right rear and noticed it would not turn.I didn't jack up the other side because it was to darn hot that day.
I will post some pictures at a later date and tell you all why I decided to buy this truck. If you are interested.

Re: Could it be a posi.?

If only one wheel was in the air, and it was impossible to turn, it's a posi. My 68 Camaro 12 bolt posi reacts the same.

if only one tire is in the air and the tranny is in park (or any gear on a manual) the tire won't turn. If the tranny was in neutral and the tire wouldn't turn, then it is a posi.

Re: Could it be a posi.?

The other side wouldn't turn because the resistance between the tire and the ground was to great.
