Is there advantages to using a crank scraper?

I am told the crank scrapers can realley improve the oil flow inside of the crank case.....but again......it's after market......so I'm wondering if they really do work.

Yes they work. They are mostly used in high horsepower, high reving engines. It keeps the oil from collecting on the spinning crank, which would add wieght and throw off the balance.A windage tray is used to keep the spinning crank from frothing the oil.
