Talking Any ideas on where to put a radio?

I would like to put a am fm radio and some speakers in my 72 pickup but finding a good place to put everything without taking the original one out seems to be a problem.Taking the original radio out wouldn't be a problem but finding a place for speakers without cutting holes in doors or destroying something is.Any ideas would be helpful.

You could build a center console that houses everything

I put two small speakers in the original speakers mount in the dash, I just put them side by side and they can be heard there; my truck is pretty much stock no ac very little insulation. Not much on stereo but it works if you don't want to cut holes in your doors.

definitely use the dash speaker then maybe some sort of self contained 6x9 under the seats.

DO you already have a head unit? because the retro sound and a few others look really good fit the original hole and have some nice features. Unless you just have to have the original in place for looks.

Also depending on what features you want in a head unit there are guys rebuilding them and putting updated components in them to accept aux inputs etc

how do you like those? any pictures installed?

Someone did me a favor already put 6" holes in my doors so now I just have to decide if I want to open them up to 6x9 or just go with that

Look at pioneer TSx150 or TSX200 nice self contained speaker that would fit well under your seats
