I got a 50th Birthday present!!!
Hi everyone!!! Been following the site and now a member to the site. I got a early 50th Birthday present from my wife and kids. It's a 68 c20 custom camper. It has 327, th350, and ac. It has about 89,000 miles. Supposedly from Oregon it's entire life with the camper on it until a few years ago. Mostly original paint with some patina going on. The box and tailgate look brand new. Plans include lowering coils, new chrome bumpers, possibly early 90's 8 lug rally wheels, and shop truck logos. I'll try and load some pics.

Thanks for the warm welcome!!! Not sure about the Anniversary truck??? It is really clean though. Rockers, cab corners, mounts, everything is super solid. Not too sure about the 3/4 ton part of it but I think it will work. It has 4:10 gears so I want to keep a taller tire on it so I don't think I can drop it as much as I'd like to. I've had a 71 Cheyenne and a 71 Gmc Sierra Grande Custom before so I have always loved these trucks. Restored a 68 RS/SS Camaro and sold it a couple years ago and miss a "toy" again. I'm sure You"ll be hearing from me and answering my questions. Thanks!!!

It is not an anniversary truck, a 551 paint code would indicate an anniversary truck.
That is a gorgeous truck, and a super nice yard too!! I would put the correct hubcaps on it and drive the heck out of it.

Welcome to the site, looking at the SPID I see that ABS has taken on a different meaning over the decades. When the 2nd pic opened I started to question about it being an anniversary edition buy who am I? It is still a super nice truck That I would love to have and your family is great that they have your back and you will enjoy the time with working on it with them or getting away from them witch ever way there intent was I see it was done with their love for you in mind. I don't think it's an anniversary truck but its extremely nice. I saw this thing maybe Craigslist or eBay? It's very nice and I would love to own this same truck. Keep the status updates coming on this thing.
