Need pic of x-fer skid plate - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was wanting a pic of a 67-72 factory transfer case skid plate if anyone has one. If it would be possible I would appreciate dimensions as well.

Try this. It is not an original but an exact copy. I will post a pic tonight of the hole location. Mine is missing the last hole.

If I am not mistaken, they also used a second frame cross member behind the transfer case to support the skid plate when the trucks were equipped with the factory skid plate.

thanks for the link and pic nu2-72. I was under the impression as well that there were two crossmembers, it that correct?

1) Yes, there is a second frame crossmember.
2) I'm not sure what that hole does, anyway?
3) I think my skid plate got run-over in the drive way, because mine has a curve to it that Nu2-72s unit does not have.
My skidplate is off so I can deal with a leak issue-- it's either in the np205 or the sm465. I just keep adding 90 weight.

The plate is shown with the second crossmember attached. The other is still in my truck holding the tranny up. There is an offset. It is shown in the other pics. Here is the hole location.
