Aftermarket Fuel Gauge Question
We all know what original OEM fuel gauges from 73-80 look like (first picture), but how come every replacement fuel gauge from LMC, Classic Parts, Brothers, etc. for those years look completely different, with the tank level picture instead of the "E" and "F"? (Second picture)

Re: Aftermarket Fuel Gauge Question
I had the same question. My 83 had the E - F style gauge, and I got that second style from Classic Parts. I think GM changed to the second style later and only one style is stocked as a functional replacement.

Re: Aftermarket Fuel Gauge Question
Well I've noticed that the parts sources have a correct version for the 80's versions, with "Unleaded fuel only" on the bottom. But the 70's ones are not correct.
