Front suspension parts interchange?
Hey guys,
Just picked up this 1979 GMC C15 for $1000. It was originally a 350 diesel truck but currently has a 350/350 sbc in it. I can't remember for the life of me, but what front suspension parts (ball joints, tie rod ends, upper and lower control arms, steering, etc.) will interchange with a 1979 Chevrolet C10? Looking at rebuilding the front end on this GMC and wanted to know what parts would interchange. Thanks in advance. |

Re: Front suspension parts interchange?
To make sure I understand: You are asking if a GMC C15 will interchange with a Chevrolet C10?
It's the same truck. The only thing that won't interchange are the emblems. K

Re: Front suspension parts interchange?
Looks like this one might be missing the rubber for the sway bar attachment.

Re: Front suspension parts interchange?
If you are going to keep the truck for a long time, put some good suspension parts on it. Use a polygraphite kit. A whole kit can come with ball joints, bushings for A-arms, motor, and trans mount. I have a polygraphite kit on my truck. The tires will screech before leaning on hard turns. The front is solid and steers great. Worth every penny!!
