I have too many tach clusters! 3 for sale

Well, I have been buying tach clusters for several years and have only sold a one here and there. I don't need all of them and have come to the realization that they take up a lot of room and are hard to store carefully. 2 of these are in really outstanding condition and they are priced accordingly. They are high priced but they are worth it. The 3rd is rougher and priced what I feel is cheap. I do have 2 cut tach pigtails and one complete uncut. If someone can school me on which harness goes with each cluster I MAY have other complete harnesses. These will be described from top to bottom in the picture.
THIS HAS BEEN SOLD! Numbers 2 and 3 are still available. THANK YOU WALTER! 1) Is a SUPER clean cluster for the 78-80 or so trucks. It will fit other years if you can repin your plug. It has an electric voltage gauge and the blue stripe tach and speedometer. The great thing about this is the white plastic gauge housing has been replaced with a newer one that isn't brittle and has NO broken tabs. This is probably as nice of a used tachometer cluster you could find anywhere. I paid a lot for this as it was part of a package deal and I wanted the other NOS parts the seller had. I need to recoupe my investment. I want $325 for this not including shipping.
2) Is a really nice 80 and newer or so cluster with the small fuel gauge in the tachometer face. I also replaced the white plastic gauge housing on this with a super nice one. Considerable time was spent cleanly fitting the gauges into this housing. The printed circuit is nice on this one as well as the clear lens. These are hard to find. I want $325 for this not including shipping.
3) This was bought a while back from a swap meet. It is also for the 78-80 or so trucks. It will fit the other years if you can repin your plug. Gauges are clean and circuit board is nice. The gauge housing is rough and is missing the outer left mounting tab and the upper right mounting tab(I will include an upper right mounting tab from a different cluster so you can epoxy on if so desired.) Price on this is $125 not including shipping.

Re: I have too many tach clusters! 3 for sale

Question, is the #2 cluster from a diesel ? ( tach only goes to 4,000, and oil pressure goes to a high of 100 psi )

Thanks

It was out of a diesel. The last one like this that I sold went into a gas truck but I am not sure what was involved.

Thanks, it would work in my gas truck if it only went to 5,000 rpm.

I have had two of these and they were both 4000 RPM tachs. I have seen the 5000 ones but never found one myself

Could you clarify on the earlier clusters why those are not '76-'77 because both my '76 Blazer and Truck have that style face gauges original. Senn many other unmolested '76s with that style gauge as well. Would be interested in the third cluster if it works in my '76 Blazer.

77 and earlier had a mechanical oil pressure gauge. These have an electric oil pressure gauge.

So it doesn't use the same plug is what you said earlier? I didn't understand.

Re: I have too many tach clusters! 3 for sale

Jim, unless you want to add the sender lead from one of the 78-79 tach clusters to an electric sending unit, you are better off finding a 76-77 style.

73-75 amps and mech. oil
76 changed to volts, different gauge face style
78 changed to electric oil and got a yellow/orange redline on tach
80 changed to newer style gauge face, 85 mph
82 dropped the red line color band

I am not certain on the various C50/60 series trucks since I don't find hem very often.

I am looking for a gauge cluster for my 1974 GMC 1500 V8 manual or just for the blue housing that accomodates the large tach and the small fuel gauge, would one of these work, would you have just the housing for sell

Get ready for some good feedback. I've received and found plenty of insight since I first started my search for a compatible cluster.

Walter, I hope all is going well. I am keeping my eyes open for the other things you need.

I responded in my post for just the tachometer but I also have 2 early tach clusters. I have quite a few of these in varying condition
