How do I know what options???
Hello, has anyone done this or can anyone tell me
how to find out what options my truck came with from the factory by the VIN# when the truck was built? I have no build sheet or glovebox sticker. Please, if anyone knows how to do this I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks |

Yeah, I keep running in to brick walls on this.
Didn't know if someone out there on the forum had any info on where to go. I don't know if you could go to GM and if they kept any records or not. Thanks for the reply. |

Re: How do I know what options???
You can decode the vin, it will give you a little bit of an idea. Good luck with your search

Re: How do I know what options???
The VIN will tell you a little and a cross check of the frame partial VIN will tell you more. From there it is a matter of how much of the original truck is still there.
But no you can't request a build from a VIN like you can on Canadian trucks. So is your truck an Oshawa (1) built truck?

As Tim suggests, if your truck was built in Oshawa (or for Canadian sale) you may be able to get the info through GM of Canada. K
