Aftermarket Shift Lever Different?
I ordered a replacement shift lever for my 67 since my original had a little surface rust/pitting on it and the new one came in and it is shaped different than my original.
My original has one bend at the base and the new one has two bends, one at the base and one at the top. Package says 67-68 Auto and 3 Speed non tilt column shift. Part number 67-7213-SLNT. Heres some pics.

Is the little ball on the end the same size and shape, and the same distance from the end to the hole where the pin goes through it? LockDoc

Evidently the '67 is one year only so it isn't worth it for them to make it. My '68 is bent but it is a more extreme bend and is shorter than your aftermarket one so they probably don't make it either. As long as the end is the same it should work OK.... LockDoc

I stuck a flat top screw driver carefully between the knob and lever and turned the screw driver and it came up a little. Then did the same with a wrench. Then I wrapped the knob in a towel, set it in my vise and gently used a hammer and flat tip on lip of shifter where the knob met the lever and tapped it out. Just used side of hammer to tap new one one. I'm sure there's a better way but that worked for me.
