Original style wiper motor seals.....

I am gauging the interest in getting a correct rubber wiper motor seal reproduced. I have a very nice example to copy, but I am afraid that selling original styles may be a tough because there is an aftermarket replacement already on the market that does the job adequately. Other parts that we produce that have cheaper reproductions out there have resulted in me tying up thousands of dollars and having inventory that takes years to sell.
I have seen many ask about these seals on the boards before but I don't know how seriously they want what is correct rather that what is cheap. WES

Re: Original style wiper motor seals.....

Is this the rubber bushing in the cowl where the wiper linkage attaches to the motor?

Re: Original style wiper motor seals.....

I would buy a few to have on hand if I needed to R&R the wiper motor.

If you wait until this seal is done, you will be waiting for a while. It is a minimum of a 6 month process from the time I send it in to the manufacture to the time I get about 1000 pieces. Tooling has to be made, a prototype from that tooling has to be made, I have to approve the prototype, and then I get in line for manufacturing and wait for the manufacturer to ship them to me... WES
