I can't get an answer on this issue either. What did you end up doing?

Nothing yet, had to take care of other things first

Re: Static dropped on 18s

My 86 Burb is static with a flip and 3" spindles along with 2" springs and stock height cpp lower arms. Saggy rear leafs so I added air shocks.
One of my sets of 18's are 8.5 wide and if I recall correctly +10 offset but I can confirm that. I run 235/55 front and 255/55 rear. The fronts rubbed the iiner fender a bit on inner part of the curve, just enough to rub paint if I hit a dip while turning but that was with no sway bar. Rears touched inner sidewall very minimally on certain angles entering alleys or driveways. I added a 1/4" spacer and no more rub. Saggy leafs probably played a part in it.
I will be going slightly lower profile in the rear next spring.

I also have a set of 18x9 Boss 308's with +15 iirc offset that were on it briefly but the tires were a bit low @ 235/40. Although the fronts didnt look bad and no tire rub, but the rims do rub lca's on full lock or just before full lock.
Rears clear with no spacers.

I believe the pick up has better clearance in the rear inner wheel housings than the burbs though.
These are the 8.5's im looking for a pic with the boss wheels.
