250- integrated or non-integrated head?

Thoughts, pros and cons? Currently have 250 non-integrated. Thinking about dropping in a integrated head. Let me know what y"all think. Thanks

Don't. You can't put any aftermarket goodies on the integrated heads. [Like headers, 4-Bbl intake, bigger carb, etc.] They were made for emissions quotas, not performance. I hear they are prone to cracking too

Re: 250- integrated or non-integrated head?

Ive had good service out of the intergrated head engines that have the one bbl carb. the two bbl carb versions I never liked. and almost every 2 bbl one ive owned did have a cracked head? A early non integrated head can be installed on the later engines. the power steering brackets & air cond parts are easier to find for the integrated head engines. the intergrated engines have hard valves for the unleaded fuel. most intergrated head engines have electronic ignition.
