a/c goin crazy
so i have an 05 sierra. the a/c has been goin crazy here lately. sometimes the fan works. sometimes it doesnt. randomly the a/c on the driver side will go to heat, and the passenger side will stay nice and cold. heck the other day i was sittin in traffic with the a/c on and my truck even started to run hot, even though i have a 160 thermostat installed. as soon as i turned the a/c off it went right back to normal again.
strange right? so ive read about the blender doors and all that and i dont think thats it. i am thinkin its the actual control. thoughts?

Re: a/c goin crazy
had that problem on my 05 Denali after I replaced the control unit...did it like 2 times when my wife drove it. I jumped in the truck smacked the control and it worked fine ever since. as far as the fan sometime working and sometimes not...removed the blower motor resistor and see if it's starting to melt away (some of the old style GM blower motor resistors get hot and start to melt.) if so...jump on AMAZON and get you one...I got mine for about 25 bucks.

Re: a/c goin crazy
I know this sounds crazy but check your coolant level. Mine went nuts a couple of times due to low coolant.
