3/4 to 1/2 conversion

I am taking out the eaton and putting in a 12 bolt for the rear. In the front can I just leave the upper and lower control arms and change ball joints to put on 1/2 ton disc spindles?? I do know that I will have to change the center link to a 71-72 and tie rods ends of the same year.

The lower a arms won't work for u 1/2 ton ball joints don't fit in them. The uppers are OK though. Just put in the new 1/2 ton uppers and bolt in 1/2 ton lower arms. And then rest your correct on.
