rebuilt tach cluster - slightly used

300 bucks plus the ride

CONUS only

I rebuilt this when I put my first motor in but when I blew that motor I took the opportunity to upgrade my dash cluster and bought one from Putter (I highly recommend his work) so I no longer need this one.

The cluster is a replacement from Brothers.

The ribbon is from Brothers.

It has 5,650 miles on the odometer (which was bought from Brothers)

The rest of the gauges are original.

I painted the needles.

Tach is 8 cylinder.

A few small scratches around the steering column cutout that can be touched up with a Sharpie, otherwise great condition.

Re: rebuilt tach cluster - slightly used

I have questions:

Are there any rust spots, even slight ones, on any of the gauge graduation marks(the white lines), including the tach?

Does the tach work, without needle sticking at any RPM? Do the other gauges work?

The circuit board (ribbon) in the photo looks to be original GM and not aftermarket. Can you confirm?

The lens is original GM or aftermarket?

I hate to sound picky but this is my business and when I buy something on line, I want to make sure I get what I think I see.

Your price is very fair.
Good luck with the sale,
Tom

Re: rebuilt tach cluster - slightly used

sorry for the delay, I am not getting any emails alerting me that anyone has replied to the post....and I am subscribed. Probably going into the SPAM folder but I don't know what email to "whitelist" so I can't fix it.

So...I'll check as often as I can.

tbone - it's been quite awhile since I put that cluster together and the ribbon might very well be original but I just can't remember....sorry

The original cluster was without a tach, I got the tach from a member here and then I needed a ribbon....so I can't remember whether is was from another member or from Brothers.

The lens is definitely not original, I got it from Brothers.

Everything works, I'll have to check more carefully but I don't think there is any rust on any of the gauges at all.....but I can check to verify.

bowties - I would consider that but not sure where you live and it would be a slow and cheap shipping option....but yes, I would consider it depending on shipping costs.

Thank you for answering all of my questions. It is a good price but I will pass on it for now.

It should sell quick for the price.

Good luck,
Tom

I can't believe I missed this. That's what I get for working. It was so close to home, I could have rode my bicycle and picked it up. LOL
