NC Do not Laugh, WTB olds desiel truck frame mounts

Built a really nice 88 cutlass for my daughter, short story, car is wrecked, I have a 25,000 mile engine and trans. I also just got a nice 68 LWB fleet with out an engine and trans.

can't remember the years, and i don't feel like making mounts, but GM put 350 diesels based off of the olds engine. A lot of people swapped out the diesel engine for the gas version of an olds engine.

So I want to put this big money engine and trans to use.......just want to bolt and go.

Need the frame mounts.....

Just use the car mounts. I once swapped a 260 cu in olds engine from a olds omega in to a 77 gmc half ton that originally was a 350 . I used the omega engine & frame mounts. It,s been 20 years So I dont remember what mods where required however we installed the olds engine in less than one day so it wasn't problematic.

thanks, will give it a try.was thinking if was an 88 I could mount everything then drill house on the truck cross member.
I know the cutlass cross member is smaller.

I will try it but I am at the point where I am working aslone and try to make everything very easy.

I've got what you're after up here. I've still got the front half of frame off my old 74 half ton had my olds 455 in years ago. It's under the back porch. I can unbolt the mounts from the frame and cross member and send them off with the engine mounts on them. All you'll have to do then is swap them into your truck. 350 and 455 olds share the same mounting stance. $30.00 plus the ride. will let you know by monday total cost if you're interested

sorry, a bunch of medical crap has come up, yes, I am interested, shipping to 28387. Possible to get some pix mounted to the cross member just in case I have problems with which holes.

Plus are these like factory mounts just redrilled? I just want to be sure I can mount the 350 easily......thanks,

I think I have access to a '79 C10 that had a 5.7L diesel in it. If I do, I can look for the mounts. What part of the mount do you need? Frame crossmember, cushion that bolts to crossmember, or pocket that bolts to block?

sure why not, if it is cheap enough. I am getting a set from ble burban. I have a 403 that i have been sitting on , so i can put that in one of my other trucks. I hae been collecting 200r trans missions for the last 6 years, soo I am good on transmissions.

Take some pix but since I have never seen the set up I don't know what I need. I have the crossmember that the 63-87 trucks have, I swap a later cross member 73-81 1 1/4 thick rotor suspensions , what ever it takes to mount the engine between the cross member and the engine block, I would replace the motor mounts anyway, so I am guessing the crossmember stands/brackets and if the mount that is a rubber wear part and that I can buy don't need that but if the mount has an engine side bracket I would need that.

Got ya some pics and got the top frme mounting bolt removed (i.e. ground off)today. it's all surface rust right now but I'll clean them up (sand blasting) before I ship them off if you still want them. have to pick up a new disc for the grinder before I can grind off the lower bolts on the cross member tomorrow then tuesday I'll take them to work to sand blast them.

Also the engine mounts that bolt to the block are the rubber mounts.
