Front Drop Question

I lowered my front by cutting springs and gettting a 3" drop. I have 245/45/20 tires on the front. I bought the big brake kit with 2" lowering spindles. It looks like I dont have 2" of clearance. Will my truck scrubb with or do I need to replace the springs back to stock?

I would put a set of 2" drop springs in it.

How many coils were cut?

I'd put it together & see where it sits if you can't put a tape measure (or suitable 2" object) to it & see if there's room to function.

I cut a full round and half round. Thought it would be 3" drop but looks lmore like 4". I measured 31.25 to the fender. Nows it 28" to fender. 2" more drop will put it right on tire and will scrub unless I remove the inner fender.

So if I put the 2" drop spindle on, it will be about a 5 to 5.5 inch drop on 245/45/20's. Would look nice but dont think its gonna work. Trying to save time and money.

245/45-20's = approx 28.5-28.75" tall so you're prob right about the rubbing issue @ that drop amount. A contributing factor will be back spacing. For reference, 1-coil typically yields 2-3" of drop depending on the condition of the spring & weight of the front of the vehicle.

Looks like fresh coils are in your future.

Yeah, just ordered them. I love the stance of my truck, so I'm thinking I will cut about a half coil out. With two inch drop spidles I should be back where I was.
