Question Need some advice on the charcoal canister...

I'm totally rebuilding my truck from the ground up. It will keep the stock look, but I'm not concerned with shows or judges... lol

I am nearing completion of my engine and soon to bolt it back in the chassis.

Should I even bother to buy a replacement charcoal canister and install it? Pros/cons? I need to decide so I know how to plumb for the carb and intake.

Thanks in advance for all suggestions...

Re: Need some advice on the charcoal canister...

My truck is mostly stock and I wish I had the canister. Besides adding the extra touch that is overlooked it does actually work. When I park in the garage it smells like gas, with the canister it helps with the fumes. There are great diagrams in the factory service manual, but a little searching around here might turn something up too. So I vote yes!

If you decide to re-install it here are a couple of good threads on the subject. Especially the second one but you have to read the whole thread....
