2004 Cadillac CTS-V parts

I've been thinking about picking up a wrecked CTS-V for motor/transmission swap. Anyone else done this? Anything else you could salvage off of one? I'm curious if you could modify the brakes to work on our trucks as well.

I know that some people over on Pro-Touring.com have done that mod on several first gen camaros. I would say that the pricinple would apply on our trucks.

The donor was a 2006 GTO not CTS-V and the vehicle that got the LS2/T56 drivetrain isn't exactly a truck but it is amazing what you can accomplish with a few tools, a little time and some imagination! Your swap will be easier because you won't have to change out the entire front subframe. There are several companies that manufacture the motor mounts you will need. Get the entire serpentine drive, the computer and the OBDII harness and Drive by wire accelerator pedal if you try it. Those parts will make things much easier. You will also need to have the security software in the ECU disabled because when thee Chassis computer it won't be there and the ECU will go dead.

2004 CTS V should be an LS6.

Outstanding engine, with long tube headers and a proper tune it should put down 375 or so to the wheels, and idle smooth as a stock pickup truck.

Otherwise it's just a straightforward LS swap that's documented all over this site.
