Re: Needing help with my gas tank

Is it on a fleet or stepside?

Re: Needing help with my gas tank

Fleetside requires you to build an assembly to where you want your fill location, my buddies Mark and Tim did this copied it for my truck and love it. You figure your routing, get an exhaust guy to bend you up an 1-1/2" steel fill tube (exhaust pipe) and get rubber gas hose (NAPA or others) * MUST BE GASOLINE RATED HOSE ONLY. You can get a Fill neck assembly from Rock Auto for about $36.00 and fab the sheet metal enclosure and it works great.

You have to modify any tank you use to accept a OEM style GM / Delphi In Tank Fuel Pump and Fuel level sender group, about $125.00

Really easy for a step-side route your side fill location tucked up inside of the wheel well.

Re: Needing help with my gas tank

Is a fleet side. Not wanting to drape hose over side or have to put tailgate down every time. Seen side marker light used and is hidden, really like ! But didn't see inside bed if had to modify so when you fill up has right angle that the pump doesn't keep shutting off ? Would really like to see more pictures of it to see process.
