Help me identify my springs.
Because of the way they are made, coil springs do not stand up straight if you stand them on your garage floor. But, if you stood one up straight so that it was perpendicular to the floor and measured it and it was roughly 12" tall, how much of a drop would that be? This is for the front coil springs. Thanks.

Re: Help me identify my springs.
Most springs will stand up fairly close to perpendicular unless they've been cut. How big is the wire? How many coils are there? Lots of variables. Post pictures.

Re: Help me identify my springs.
I didn't count the coils or measure the thickness of the coils I just measured the unsprung length, 12". I didn't take any photos before reinstalling them, sorry.

Re: Help me identify my springs.
Ok, I measured and counted the coils. The coils measured .820 in diameter and there were 8 coils if you count the half coil on each end as a full coil.
Anyone have any thoughts on this ? |
