What do you use to tighten the u bolts?

No room for my wrench or a ratchet/socket....

I used a boxed end wrench, and worked out well.

Yours must be thinner than mine, that end didn't fit either. I guess I'm going to buy a cheap one somewhere an make it work. My wrenches are to nice to grind up lol.

It was a craftsman box end, and maybe those are a little thinner. A trip to Harbor Freight for a cheap box end to grind on, would be a good solution.

Paul - What size are they? I have some special wrenches that have thinned heads to fit into the bodies of some of the valves we service. They're metric, but I probably have one that's close. Sorry I didn't think about them when I was over there last week. - Matt

1 1/16" or 27mm....

They also sent nylock nuts that I'll use on final assembly that aren't as long. That will probably help some.....

Yep.... I ran into a similar deal when I used different hardware just for set-up.

We have found it also might be necessary to trim a little off the u-bolt to get the wrench out (if using the box end).

It can be a little frustrating when installing the nylocs... and not being able to get the wrench out from between the gusset and the u-bolt end.

That's why we supply both styles of nuts. We use the nylocs for final assembly.
