I personally do not have knowledge of these but I have heard of them and heard they are not the best option (no personal experience). I am in for the education as well!

Re: Need Factory 15 inch Rims Identified

My '68 C/10 Stepside came with 17.5 x 5.25 6-Lug rims like that. I wore 'em out after only 300,000 miles. Couldn't find the 17.5 size rim any more. Went to 16 x 7 6-Lug. Original tires were 7.00 x 17.5. They got scarce in the late '70s. Ran 8.00 x 17.5 Bias then R8X17.5LT radials when they came out. Now I have LT235/85R16 all around.

Yes,I've seen those on these trucks. Most have been changed at this point. They are a great sign of a truck not altered much. Watch, now you'll show the rest of the truck and these wheels will be the only thing left original. My friend when I lived in CA had a '57 shortbed 8-lug with 15" split rims. Must have been special-built,but it was certainly very original.

Thanks for the info. The wheels are sitting in he back of the truck they came off and except for the rallys replacing the original wheels the truck is very original.

Re: Need Factory 15 inch Rims Identified

Have you had a look at the SPID? It's the tires that will be listed as the option, not the wheels. The wheels were just what was required to run a given tire spec. Is that Turquoise Poly paint or is it just my monitor?
