Help! on Tire sizes 1971 C10

Ok guys, I know there are a lot of posts about this topic. I'm still finding it hard to make my decision on what tire size to go with.
I have a 1971 C10 2wd, lowered using CPP's 5" spring kit.
I have purchased Boss 338 (I know they're overdone...but I'm on a budget)
18X8 in the front and 18X9.5 for the rear.

I've been thinking about 245/45R18 for the front and 275/40R18 for the rear...
I just don't want to buy these sizes and install them and have so much fender gap I could check my brakes by sliding my head in between the fenderwell and the tire! I want to fill the fenderwell and not have them look like balloons either. I'd like the sidewall to be pretty straight(slight bow outward is ok).

Please!!! Any suggestions would be great! Pictures would be even better!!

Thanks again!

Re: Help! on Tire sizes 1971 C10

Those sizes seem quite short to me.
F = 26.68" tall
R = 26.66" tall

I personally would try to get up closer to 27.5" - 28" tall front tire and have at least a 1" difference front to back.
My personal preference is a 28" - 28.5" tall front tire and a 30" tall rear tire or as close to that as a guy can get anyway.
If running 15" tires... I use 225/75-15 Fronts and 265/70-15 Rears
If running 17" tires... 245/60-17 F and 275/60-17 R
If running 20" tires. 245/45-20 or 245/40-20 F and 295/45-20 R

Running 18's... look at a 255/45-18 F and a 255/55-18 or 255/60-18 R

Just my .02 cents
