Door Panels Chrome or Plastic?

Has anyone used the chrome or plastic interior door panels from LMC? Pics?

Re: Door Panels Chrome or Plastic?

In my opinion they would be better than metal, because the plastic wouldn't rust

Re: Door Panels Chrome or Plastic?

I bought a set of plastic ones, not from LMC but from Classic Parts. Had to do some trimming to get them to fit but they looked good once installed. The top edge didn't fit far enough into the trim piece on the door. I use an angle die grinder with a 50 grit pad to trim it back.

For some reason, the passenger side one made a terrible rattling sound. I tried all kinds of stuff, from stuffing bubble wrap behind it, dyno-matting the entire back side, etc. Nothing worked. I took them back out and put my original steel ones back on.

I repainted them, but I'm thinking about getting vinyl to cover them so they look better.

I'm thinking of trying the plastic ones. My original ones were rusted beyond recovering. I'm not really that picky and hate to spend the $$$ money for new replacements.

Hopefully your experience will be better than mine. The ones I tried rattled like the door was going to fall off. I could hear it over the exhaust and the radio.
