what steering wheel

I have a 70 gmc 3 on the tree and the original steering wheel is cracked bad. I want a later model wheel. Anyone know what will fit and do I need any adapters etc? To those who respond to my post I appreciate your time and info.

The stock steering from 88-97 trucks are a direct replacement
The gap between the wheel and column is a little larger
You will have to make a wire for the horn

It is a smaller wheel

Here is a link to some idea's

Re: what steering wheel

Any wheel up to the 94 model will work for you. 95 is when the air bag came to be in the trucks and they changed to a different steering wheel, it will still fit the hub but it may look a little weird if you place a air bag in your old truck. Jim

Re: what steering wheel

I didn't mean to limit you to the truck wheel anything basically that the General made in that time frame without a airbag will be a go. That will be with the exception of the telescoping stuff I am not sure about the "exotic" things. A little hint or helper, the S-10's had a wheel just like the Silverado's of the same era and the nicer ones had the Sport wheel with the wrapping and the red center cap. Jim
