Re: Where do I find steering collumn parts
It's always a good idea to state at least the year of your truck when asking for help. "lower steering column bearing" Any parts vendor should carry those. They are listed different for '67 -'68 & '69 - '72. here is the '69-'72 one at Classic Parts....
http://www.classicparts.com/Steering...oducts/307/4/0 You might be able to get just the bearing, I don't know. Call Classic and ask. Don't call LMC and ask them or you will not get an answer.... LockDoc

Re: Where do I find steering collumn parts
I recently got a part from classicparts. The part was wrong and they wouldn't talk to me about getting the right part.

That's pretty vague for dissing someone.... Did you order the wrong part or did they send the wrong part? What do you mean "they wouldn't talk to me", Did they hang up on you?.... I've never bought anything from them directly as I have a parts dealer close to me but I have called and talked to them a couple of times about items I have bought and they were more than helpful... Re: Where do I find steering collumn parts
I didn't want to make a long story out of it. But - - I have a hearing problem so all contact was done by email. The part (turn signal cam) they sent had the wrong location for the handle. I could not verify the exact year of the column since it was replaced so they stopped all contact with me. I knew it was not original equipment. I have since found that they sent me the wrong part. I also contacted the manufacturer of the part and they were unwilling to help me because I couldn't verify the exact year of the column. Only that it was 71-72. Turns out the column was the year I had requested the part for (1971). Some days are better than others. I have always said - - "If your in business - if your not selling service, you soon won't be selling" Just my opinion.
