I said cloth, because personally I think leather takes a little more maintenance, and both vinyl and leather get burning hot in the summer, and freezing cold in the winter.

Leather,
hands down!!! My last three vehicles, (a 95 mitsubishi 3000 GT, A 97 mitsubishi 3000 vr4, and my 350 ford) All have/had leather. And living outside Vegas, Wher the sun gets hot enough to cook eggs on a rock, The leather breathes and does not get anywhere near as hot as vinyl. Plus I wear shorts a lot, and the leather breathes so My legs don't stick to the seat as bad..... And one more,, I have two grandsons, one is 2-1/2, Leather cleans up so much easier..When I'm ready for new interior for the 70, It will be leather.

Now the downside I find, Is the leather, where you slide in and out at, wears. BUT so does everything.

Yep, Leather....

I like cloth. Much cooler and comfortable to me than leather or vinyl.

I have the cloth seat in my 95 K1500, and MUCH prefer it!! I bought a new leather seat for my Pete and HATE it!! 10-12 hours at a time in it, and sweating the whole time! It is warm in the winter, once your butt thaws it out, but I'm ready to replace the cover with cloth for the summers.

Cloth is not hot, but in the Texas heat the foam inside gets hot and radiates through when you get in. Vinyl makes you sweat if you got shorts on. Leather is the best of all worlds......

First it is what ever is cheapest. But because I have a blazer with the top off most of the time cloth is the best option. But with a burban leather is the best. A pimped out burb with trick interior and leather seats is awesome.

Leather, but you have to take care of it. It's cooler in the summer, than Minyl, much more durable than cloth, and warmer than vinyl in the winter. Properly cared for, it will last many years.
