Something I've never noticed before is the Carrier bearing is mounted to its own cross member, looks pretty heavy duty, maybe a 1 ton thing.

Pete I'll check that, I did already pull the fill tube, cover, gas tank & sending unit & was able to save 2 of the long bolts with the special threaded nuts, all of which is for sale.

That is different Tom. I have never seen a carrier bearing mounted above the cross member either. Now I want to look at my 72 1/2 ton with factory leafs and see what the set up is.

Good luck with the sales,
Tom

Interested in the rear slider. Could I get some better pictures. How is the latch and felt. Was it on the option list as factory oem or it aftermarket?

I'd be interested in the aux tank send unit if you'd sell apart from the rest. If so, any idea if it works? Thanks Tom

I'll test that sending unit, if I don't get a few bites on the complete set up after a few days I'll sell it separately.

Re: 1972 C30 Longhorn for parts

pics of slider

Works ok, latch is good, says passport on it, there is scuffing on the lower outside bottom & the weatherstripping probably needs to be replaced in it because the sliders move around when you slide them side to side.

Re: 1972 C30 Longhorn for parts

Here's some pics of the cab

The cab has a little more rust than anticipated, so I have adjusted the price to $500 for the bare cab with title.

There is no rust in the roof or drip rail, cab corners look good, cab supports look good.

Some rust in the lower door pillars especially the passenger side, where the lower door hinge was welded on

There is also the normal lower kick panel rust about 1/4 to 1/2" up from floor.

There is rust in the outer rockers.

There is some bubbled rust under the floor mat, that will leave pits after blasting, but is not rusted through & there is also a rust spot on the engine side of the cowl on the driver side that is rusted through.

The radio hole has been cut to a square.

None of this rust is major or out of the ordinary, but want to disclose the shape of the cab so there are no surprises.

I can strap to a pallet & we have a tractor to load it or have room for an auto transport to pick up the rolling chassis, you will have to research & arrange your shipping on the cab or chassis, (you ship) is a good place to start.

Critterman Price of rolling Chassis is $425 with bare cab $800

67-72 trucks has passed on the cab

natec/10 you are up on the cab.

w314speed, sway bar is the normal 3/4 ton size 1 1/8"

mike 1971 the ac control is gone , but I have another $60 shipped without mount bracket.

72 mario I should have a set of the rear shock mounts already off another truck $40 for the pair shipped.

jake, I'll check the cab to rear harness, foam is not good enough to ship.

Thanks for the pictures and the honest description. I could overcome everything but the major scuffing on the bottom right of the outer frame. I will pass on the slider.
