I cant seem to find any articles or posts about how strong our back Dana 44 rears are mine is 68 GMC leaf spring .I am curious how they hold up to big blocks and 5 speeds vigorously driven .ha ha

The Dana 44 is a relatively strong diff, but it probably wouldn't last too long with a big block and hard driving. Maybe upgrade to a Dana 60?
