Rear disc brakes 69-70 c10

I want to put disc brakes on the rear of my truck 70 c10 12 bolt coil spring, what is the most economic way, I have heard of a place called mr fab but can not find it, I have willwood calipers and slotted and drilled rotors on the front, any suggestions

These trucks are so light in the back and rear disc kits are generally so terrible that I'd never do it. I've done it on other vehicles and had nothing but grief.

Even for towing I think the factory drums are sufficient on the rear. Fronts I'd upgrade.

If I had to do it again I'd probably use an axle or axle ends that I could then install a modern (ie: not 70s Cadillac) caliper like those from a Ford Explorer or Expedition. Or put a 14 bolt in that's already got discs.

I have used two different sets, one from guy on eBay on my 68, came with everything but a differential gasket and axle seals. My seven year old daughter and I installed in two and a half hours roughly and it stops great. The brackets are direct bolt ons, the calipers came with e- brake etc.. The second set came from a board member and were built by captain fab. It uses brackets made by captnfab the rotor is cross drilled and the calipers are from a 96 f body. I used a corvette 1-1/8 bore master cylinder on the 68 and it hauls the 68 from 115 to zero pretty darn quick ( at least it did at charlotte motor speedway) with a brake booster. The 67 uses a cpp combo prop valve/ master cylinder and 1" bore no power and the system was very balanced out of the box- I have not adjusted it at all and it also will put you through the windshield . I have not experienced any of the problems described by Dave but my experience may be the exception. I did change all lines to 3/16 . Also the 68 has braided brake lines with cpp disc/disc prop valve. The 67 has 3/16 lines throughout with rubber lines- 71-72 front rubber lines and 96 Camaro rear rubber lines - all were direct bolt ins. Hope this helps.

Mine is on a B-Body and the only kit available used the 1980s Eldorado rear calipers with the integral parking brake. A few guys on the board use them (which I only see because I see threads about problems with them).

If I could get brackets to mount something a little more up to date, I would. Do you happen to have an email for captain fab?

Also in my case I do not know if the producer of the kit (Master Power Brakes) has properly matched the master cylinder bore to the pistons. It uses factory 1969 Impala front discs and 1980s Cadillac rear discs and a 1960s Corvette disc/disc master. So I have some suspicions that it may not all be optimized for each other.

In my case it's like I can't get enough fluid flow to anywhere, even the fronts. Been chasing it off and on for ten years. When I get time I'll try an aftermarket master, but everything else is 99.9% stock appearing so I don't want a billet piece in there...
