Question FIRST post, (long), 63 to 63, 2wd to 4wd unusual idea?

Perfect timing to have just found this info heavy site. Been driving a 1/2 ton 63 swb, with disc brakes, 350, sm420, tank in bed, injected, gear vendor overdrive, power steering,.... for almost 20 years. Just picked up an original owner, ordered from the factory, 63 short bed cab and chassis with flat bed to be used in my business. My plan has evolved into this: place entire front end from my truck with disc brakes ,motor with FAST brand injection and HEI into cab & chassis in front of sm420. Next I will hang Dana 44 and leaf springs in front of my 63 short bed, add np 205 with gear vendor on the back of existing sm420. Since I anticipate front now being 3-4 inches higher in front I was trying to fiqure out how to raise a trailing arm rear. My idea is to cut pads off of rearend, put them on top and place trailing arms above rearend, and possibly relocate shocks. Rear sway bar will need to be slightly lengthened. Don't know if actually flipping rearend so original pad location is on top is an option or not. Seems like a swb 4x4 with trailing arms would have a good ride and be unusual. New crate motor choice will be stroker 383 with around 425 lbs of torque for towing heavy trailers as I do now. Any thoughts, hope there aren't to many problems I haven't anticipated. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Yes. Swapping my good front end, motor etc. into project cab and chassis and making my daily driver into 4wd, keeping trailing arm rear. Found a 205 transfer case today and have almost all parts collected. Just need adapter from either sm465 or sm420 to 205 transfer case.
