Ls1 warmer reading with mech temp gauge off head vs radiator
I opened up the hole and taped the head and am running a summit mechanical water temp gauge and there its hanging around 200-210 and my thermal thermometer tells me every thing forward in the motor and around the radiator is in around 170-180 ,Im guessing because the sender is right by the exhaust port? Im running a new monster sized stock 4 core cross flow with a spal fan..thanks ahead for responses jim

200-210 is normal operating temp on the ls engines radiator is cooler becasue it is cooling the coolant

My 6.0L LS in my 2006 K2500HD sits just below the 210 mark every day all day while driving. Even pulling my 5th wheel in 90 degree outside heat. Perfectly normal.
