spark plug question

ok so im guessing this might be a kind of stupid question but I'm trying to cover all my bases with some issues I'm having with my 72 and looking into getting new spark plugs and i can't seem to find the right answer on how much reach the plugs should have for a 350 with 1970 LT1 heads. i know its a 14mm thread with 5/8 wrench size but i have no idea what heat range or reach it should have. if anyone can help me out with this i would greatly appreciate it. btw I'm running E3 spark plugs right now.
