Question Those Who Have Installed Hella Vision H4 Conversions

Did you install the dust boot before or after installing the headlight into the bucket?

I tried it both ways but it seemed that if I put the boot on after the fact, the boot didn't leave much of the prongs showing for the headlight connector... So as of now I have them installed with the boots on first. Which would mean that I would have to remove the headlight trim and the glass any time that I would ever have to replace a burnt out bulb.

Just an update on these. I installed the boots first.

Now about the lights, I used an aftermarket hd relay harness and boy do these suckers light up the night! I couldn't believe what a difference they made. Very happy with the purchase and well worth the expense.
