ok i had to have a lock smith teach me how to do this but you take a pair of vise grips or simular tool and you have to move around the outer rim of the chrome bezel and bend the bezel outward and the ignition will slide out the back of the dash. once you have the ignition switch out take it to a locksmith where he/she can drill the lock itself and replace it.

There is a small hole near the key hole. Stick a paper clip in the hole and turn the bezel and to get the cylinder out put the key in the hole and keep the paper clip in the hole I believe you turn it to the left then and pull to get it out.

I messed with mine for about a month off and on. (I had another ignition switch that I plugged in and left hanging behind the dash) I eventially had a small screw driver (flat tip) and a small hammer and basicly beat the crap out of it untill it came apart in a million small pieces.
Then I was able to turn the bezel off with no key. Don't hit it too hard, the dash will bend. I got lucky and did not bend my dash. |
